Antonina Kumka

Antonina Kumka was born in Ukraine and later immigrated to Canada, becoming a Canadian citizen. Antonina graduated from Chernivtsi Fedkovych National University in Ukraine, obtaining Master of Education and Bachelor of Arts (Economics) diplomas. In Canada, Antonina pursued a teaching career in Special Education and Mathematics, taking additional courses at University of Toronto and Queens University. Since 2009 Antonina has been a special education teacher in high school programs, a youth center and now teaches Mathematics at White Oaks HS. Antonina is innovative and always looking for new opportunities. She has published articles in a number of teaching magazines about the use of technology and reduced use of paper in schools.
Antonina actively takes part in the life of the community. She has been a minor-track coach with Hamilton Olympic Club for a year in 2012/2013. Moreover, she is on the executive board of Ukrainian Canadian Congress Hamilton Branch, as well as an active member of various committees both in Hamilton and Toronto. She has experience in organizing events and public speaking, as well as working with NGOs and fundraising.
Antonina is married and has a son. Her husband, Andriy Pivtoran is a registered physiotherapist. They live in Hamilton and enjoy the outdoors and traveling.

Jason Tucker

Jason was born in Saint John, New Brunswick and spent much of his childhood in the Niagara region of Ontario. He studied electrical engineering at the University of New Brunswick Fredericton, during which time he also obtained his NACE Level 1 Certification as an industrial coatings inspector.

He completed his NDE and CEDO training courses at Mohawk College in Hamilton in 2007 and spent three years in Alberta doing industrial quality control in the oil and gas industry.

Since returning to Ontario in 2011, Jason has been very active in politics at both the federal and provincial level. He is the Vice President of the Hamilton Centre Conservative Association, a director on the Ancaster-Dundas-Flamborough-Westdale PC Association, and Director of Policy for the Brock Campus Conservatives. He also ran for an Ontario seat on the National Policy Committee of the Conservative Party of Canada, and served as the Vice President of Policy for OPCCA. Currently, Jason works in sales at Stone Tucker Instruments, a family-owned business based in Pelham, and will obtain his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Brock University in spring 2015. He lives in Hamilton with his wife, Alexandra, and their cats, Loki and Cicero.
